X Country Run
On Friday we had a x-country at Bradford Park I had never done a run with my class before there but listen up because I was in for a challenge......
I had a sprained my ankle and it was hard for me. I line up, all girls are nervous and scared, my friend at some point even felt sick...! I hear Dave talking to us about how many year 5 girls there are (only about 18). I hear Dave say on your marks, get set, GO !!! and the wood bangs together and I'm off........... I hear my friends and Dad cheering me on. I feel the wind blow through my hair and the slight sound of the birds singing. We come to the ditch I jump over but in a split second I'm over but it seemed like ages.
I run up a steep hill and am puffing like a shark chasing the speediest fish ever. I'm half way now and really sore in my foot. I jump over the log and Dad is running with me he stops and goes to the finish line to meet me. I run the last bit and finally hit the finish line I'm so tired and I want to pour water all over my head. Being proud I walk through and get marked and I see I've come 16th. Dad gives me a hug and kisses me. All my friends come over and congratulate me for coming 16th when I've got a sprained ankle.
I had a great day then and am looking ford to doing it again.
